Halloween

We decided that instead of going trick or treating forever and getting too much candy (is there such a thing?) for the girls, we would go to a carnival in town that was sponsored by a church. They had so many fun games for the kids-bounce houses, slides, ring toss, plinko, bean bag throws, etc. Makayla's favorite was trying to eat a donut from a string without her hands-sure wish I had the camera for that one! The girls played lots of games and every time they played a game, win or lose, they would always get a HANDFUL of candy. And not just the cheap stuff that nobody likes, but we're talking the good chocolate candy bars and stuff. They also gave out cotton candy, which I've been wanting to have for a while-yay! The best part was that it was all free. We still went trick or treating to the houses in our neighborhood, so we'll have candy for months. Although my plan for letting the girls have fun while getting less candy backfired-we got way more than usual-it was our best halloween yet. For costumes this year, Jacob was a blind referee, I was a witch, Makayla was a cheerleader (the costume just happened to be her school mascot and colors!), Kelli was a princess, and Laney was a ladybug. Too bad we have to wait a whole year for Halloween to come again!
