Makayla is 6!

I can't believe my little girl is not so little anymore! The day after Thanksgiving Makayla turned 6. Since everyone is usually out of town on her birthday, we give Makayla the choice of having a birthday party for friends either before or after Thanksgiving. This year we had it the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I've decided that having 15 little girls at our house for 2 hours is a bit long. Perhaps if it were warmer so they could go outside it wouldn't be so bad. Jacob grew up around lots of people and noise and chaos, but I just can't handle it for very long. Makayla is on a tinkerbell kick so she decided to have that be the theme for her party. The girls played lots of games, broke a pinata, and made fairy wands. Makayla had lots of fun!

On Makayla's birthday we were in Elsinore with my family. Poor girl, Makayla caught a terrible cold on her birthday and she felt so horrible. She was so sick I had to talk her into opening her presents. Even though she got several things she really wanted, she didn't even play with them on her birthday. She was feeling much better the next day though and made up for lost time!

We are so lucky to have Makayla as a daughter. She is so much fun to be around. Makayla is definitely a people person and enjoys talking to and being around anyone. She's in kindergarten and is super smart. Kayla is a great sister and plays with her sisters so much. She is also very helpful around the house and we all love her so much!
