Happy Birthday Makayla

I can't believe Makayla is already 7! It's so weird to think that she can be baptized in a year (which, by the way, she is so excited for). The other day I took some pictures of her and I couldn't believe how grown up she looks. Like this one:

Instead of bragging about how great she is (like I usually do), I'm just going to tell a little bit more about her:

Makayla's favorite colors are pink and purple. At recess she can usually be found on the monkey bars or chasing/being chased by boys. Her favorite toys are Littlest Pet Shop, but she enjoys playing with almost any toys (even "boy toys" like dinosaurs, cars, etc). Makayla's favorite vacation we have gone on was the week long houseboat trip to Lake Mead. Although her favorite animal is probably a horse, she would like more than anything to get a dog for a pet. Makayla's favorite foods are pizza and homemade chicken noodle soup. Makayla doesn't like to have her hair cut, as she wants it to be "as long as Rapunzel's" someday (it is actually quite long!).

Makayla's birthday was during Thanksgiving weekend, like usual, so she was able to spend it with lots of her cousins. We went to the park and had fun-despite the freezing cold!

Makayla had a cowboy...I mean cowgirl...birthday party this year. The kids seemed to really enjoy the games we played and roasting hotdogs in the fireplace. Tons of fun, and not a lot of prep work for me!
