I Should Have Known

The other day I was taking advantage of the warm, sunny weather and decided to clean out the garage. Thinking we wouldn't need our snow sled anymore, I asked Makayla to take it downstairs to the storage room. The sled is a lightweight, but heavy duty round one, that goes really fast on the snow. Anyway, I should have known that when I asked her to take it downstairs she would do what they always do when I ask them to take something downstairs-either put it on the bottom step or on the landing, right at the bottom. This is what they usually do with all their toys, rather than taking literally, two more steps and putting it in the playroom. I also should have known, that 20 minutes later when Kelli came along and saw the sled laying at the bottom of the stairs, she would start to get ideas. These adventurous ideas come strictly from the Anderson side of the family, not the Werry side. In some ways they are so much like their daddy. Sure enough, Kelli grabbed the sled and started up the stairs, ready for some fun. Luckily she was so excited she only went up about halfway before she had to try sledding. Luckily, she only got hurt a little bit-not enough to really be crying, but just enough that she probably won't be trying it again anytime soon. The sled is now safely tucked away in the storage room. I should have known.

I am glad she didn't get hurt too bad! Give her a huge hug from us.

I can just picture the twinkle that Kelli had in her eyes at the thought of the fun she could have. Love ya Kelli!
