So I've never really been a bath person. I never understood people who could sit in the bathtub for hours and call it relaxing. I think there was an old episode of Friends where Chandler described it pretty good: "Why would you want to lie there uncomfortably, swimming in your own filth." Ok, maybe I wasn't filthy when I tried it, but it just never did it for me. Give me a shower, now that's a whole different story. I love nice, long, hot showers. Well, recently we moved to a new house and my girls love taking baths even more now. They ask me several times a day if they can take a bath. It may have something to do with the bath tub being umm... a little bit bigger. Or that they have to step up to get into it. A large part is probably the nice ledge all the way around it to fit all their toys. Whatever it is, they LOVE taking baths even more, which is saying a lot. I decided I would try it out, see if my old judgement still stood. I have to say, I was wrong about baths. They actually can be nice and relaxing. Not that I take a bath every day, or even every week (you just can't beat the shower!), but it's kind of nice taking a bath every once in a while! You just have to have the right tub, light some candles, and make sure the girls are in bed so they don't come knocking on the door every two minutes asking if it's their turn to get in now.
In this picture, Kelli and Laney are sitting up straight and tall on their knees, just to give you an idea how deep the tub is.
