Happy Halloween!

We had a fabulous Halloween this year, because we did so much to celebrate. The girls favorite thing was going to their cousins' house for dinner and a bunco party. With a little help from parents, the kids loved playing. Kelli rocked, and won two prizes and tied for another one. Makayla almost won the prize for most loses, but managed a win on the last round...The had a great time, and us grownups were jealous and decided that we need to have our own bunco night soon. On Saturday morning we went to the school carnival. Not only did the girls win a bunch of candy, but they are also now the proud owners of three new goldfish. We sold all of our fish before we moved and had planned on getting more, but just haven't set up the tank yet. Now we have a reason to.

On Saturday evening we went to our ward's carnival/trunk or treat. Jacob won a prize for decorating his truck so cool. He has a lumber rack on the back then used a bunch of pipe to make the truck look like a giant spider. It was really neat!

We also went trick or treating to the stores in town. Apparently, that's the thing to do in Wrightwood. Instead of going to people's houses, you go to all the businesses. I didn't realize how many little businesses there are here! It was really fun and there were tons of people! I think almost the whole town (plus lots of people from surrounding towns) was there. We went with our cousins so the girls loved it even more.

This year was nice because we didn't have to get any new costumes. We have tons from other years that still fit the girls well and they were so excited to wear them. Makayla rotated between being a witch and a clown. Laney rotated between a princess and a ladybug. Kelli was Cinderella, a giraffe, and Snow White a few times.

Such cute pics of the kids in their costumes! I am so glad you guys are enjoying your new home in Wrightwood.
Tell Mikayla that Gypsy (the horse she rode) asked about her the other day...wanted to know when she was coming back for a visit and another ride...hehe =))
Love you guys!!
