Anderson Family Reunion

Last weekend we made the long trip up to Ashton, Idaho for the Anderson Reunion with all of Jacob's cousins. We had so much fun! Makayla and Kelli rode with Joe and Kim and had so much fun. They have four girls that our girls just adore. Jacob, Laney, and I rode with Jacob's mom and dad and we all caravaned. We made several stops so it took a long time to get there, but it was also enjoyable. We stayed in cabins, which was nice for protecting us from the millions of mosquitos, but they didn't have beds, we just slept on the floor. One day we went sight seeing at Mesa Falls. It was so pretty. I think Kelli and Laney were more impressed with the endless stairs they got to play on. After looking at the falls we stopped and fed the fish in the river where they spawn. Those fish were so fast, it was kind of hard to see them! One day we went floating down the Warm river. Like my niece Katie said, they lied when they said it was warm! The river was pretty cold when you first got in, but since it was so hot outside it actually felt pretty good after a while. Makayla and Kelli loved floating the river but Laney didn't much care for it as it was way past naptime. After the first trip down the river, she ended up riding in the van with grandpa, who was wonderful enough to shuttle us back and forth so we didn't have to walk. The reunion didn't last nearly long enough. We had so much fun and there was so much to do. It was fun catching up with people we haven't seen for a while. We really enjoyed being with Joe and Kim's wonderful family and can't wait until we get together again!
In this next picture of Makayla, she's making a wish on the "wishmaker" that she found. This one was so huge, way bigger even than the size of her fist-so cool! When I saw how beautiful everything was there, I was determined to take tons of pictures. However, we had so much fun I just kept forgetting to take pictures. I ended up getting a few, but not nearly as many as I wanted.
