Makayla starts school in just one week so we decided we'd go to St. George to shop for school clothes. When we got up in the morning, we took off for our "girls day out". You would think it would be exciting to be shopping for new things, but Kayla got tired of trying on clothes at the first store. I had to bribe her to keep trying them on and I also bribed Kelli and Laney so they wouldn't get bored. What was the bribe? I told them if they were good, I'd give them a big surprise. It worked, as they were very patient. The surprise was going to the splash pad in St. George. We'd never been there before-boy have we been missing out.
Kelli said "Look mom, I'm peeing!" Nice. She liked trying to step on the fountains to keep them from spraying.
Laney did NOT want to get in the water at first (long day, no nap). Then she finally decided she would get in, if she had her shoes on. She didn't like the splash pad part, but she loved the lazy river and little waterfalls. When we were done, I had to drag her out.
Makayla loved everything about the park. There were several other kids there her age so of course she started playing with them. She was in the water the longest.
I even got in and cooled off. It was pretty hot that day, but the water was perfect-nice and warm the way we all like it! The girls played there for almost 2 hours before we were finally ready to go home. It was a long day, but also very fun!
