Grocery Trip

Many of you know that in the past few months I've started getting into coupon shopping. I am not a die-hard couponer yet, but I am slowly learning things and want to be good at it. There are several websites I like to look at that tell about great deals going on at the grocery store. Often the person writing it will take a picture of all the things she got on a shopping trip and say how much she spent. It amazes me how much money people can save. I want to do that. So the other day I went to the store, coupons in hand, and this is what I got:

I got 4 big cans of yams, 1 can of beans, 13 cans of peas, 10 cans of pork and beans, two bags of "sugar cereal" (that's a big treat for my girls), 6 bags of chex mix, 4 yogurts, a box of crackers, one pack of lightbulbs, one pack of tortillas, 2 bags of potatoes, one double box of potatoes, and a dog collar. Also, the two packages on top were My little ponies. I got all of this for $12.82!!!!!! I thought that was quite a bargain considering the chex mix alone is usually $2.50 a bag which would be $15 total. I think I will stick with this couponing stuff.
