Now that it's starting to warm up a little, the girls have been outside playing with Shadow even more. The other day, Laney was outside "walking" him in the backyard for almost two hours. It's a good thing he so patient. Shadow is pretty content to just follow the girls all around. They love every minute of it. We have a neighbor who is 11 and has autism and a few other disabilities who also comes over to play with him often. When Joseph comes to play, however, shadow is usually dragged around the yard, used as a pillow, and dressed up like Superman (complete with a cape). Shadow is Joseph's best friend and even got a valentine's card from him.
We still take Shadow for a walk every day. Except now we mix it up a little and give him some good runs. Kelli and Laney ride in the bike trailer and Makayla and I ride our bikes. Shadow loves to run because, according to Laney, when he runs, "he wags his tail and his tongue". I think the tongue wagging is more of a flopping to the side hanging out his mouth, but who knows, maybe Laney is a a dog whisperer.
We really love our dog! He is so much fun to have!
