The pool is about 18' around and is 44" deep. Not exactly a great place for Jacob and I to swim, but it was so perfect for the girls. Talk about a motivator. I didn't have to tell the girls to do their chores to often. They knew if they wanted to go swimming they had to finish them first. They went swimming almost every single day. Although I couldn't swim in it, it was fun for me to just sit on a floaty or use noodles to relax-so perfect for cooling off on hot days!
What is better than playing in the pool with your sisters? Playing with your sisters and your friends! The girls loved having their friends over to swim, play on the grass and play on the swingset. It was like having an even better country club in our backyard!
When we first used the pool, Laney was so scared to be in the water. She would not even get in it unless she had on water wings and a ring or a life jacket and a ring, even though she could touch the bottom. It didn't take too long before she was jumping in without anything. She wasn't quite as brave as Kelli and Kayla doing cannonballs off the ladder, but they loved it. Makayla and Kelli even learned how to swim. Buying the pool was definitely worth the $15 we spent on it!
