Children's Pictures

So have you ever gone somewhere to have kid's pictures taken? I'm talking about young kids, more than one at a time. It's tough! We finally got the girls pictures taken the other day. First of all, you have to get them ready. I think kids just know when they are getting their pictures done and purposely get dirty and mess their hair up again and again. Then you have to get to the studio. Why don't little kids understand the concept of leaning forward so their hair doesn't get matted down from their carseat? Once you start doing the pictures, you have to get all of them to look at the camera. Or in our case, at least near the camera. Then you have to try to get them to all smile at the same time. Tougher than it looks! Makayla usually does a good job smiling, but after wearing a perma-grin for 5 minutes, she has to give her face a rest. It's not really her fault that she does it at exactly the same time Kelli and Laney are finally looking at the camera and smiling! Then there's the parents. Yes, Jacob and I always make ourselves look like fools while trying to get the girls to smile for the camera. The things people go through for a picture. We keep saying we will just do some of our own, but have only done that a few times. I need to be better about that. As I have been reminded several times lately, I need to get updated pictures of my girls because mine are too old! I'm working on it! Sadly these are the first "professional" pictures of all three girls.
