Little Miss Smarty Pants

Yesterday was Makayla's parent teacher conference. Of course, Makayla is doing great! She has already passed off everything she needs to know in kindergarten, even though she still has a quarter left. Her teacher said she is about where a 1st grader would be halfway through the year. We had to come up with ideas to keep her challenged for the rest of the year. The school finally has a new accelerated reading program in place so Makayla will get to start in that next week. Mrs. Lee also wants her to work on her writing (she's really far ahead in that, but figures that's a good place to challenge her). She's supposed to start writing stories to read to her class and letters to people she knows. So, if she writes to you.....please write back! We are so proud of Makayla. Even though she is really smart, she also works really hard to learn things because she enjoys learning so much. Keep up the good work Makayla, WE LOVE YOU!
