More funny words

I just love listening to little kids when they're learning to talk. I especially love it when they hear other people use words and then try to use them also (we don't swear at our house, so we don't have to worry about those words thank goodness!). Lately Kelli has been working hard to expand her vocabulary and the results keep us laughing. The other day Kelli came running into my room and said "look at me, I'm stupid girl!" She repeated this several times and I couldn't understand why she was saying that until I saw the blanket wrapped around her shoulders like a cape. She meant to say, "look at me, I'm super girl." Several days ago I made bread and pulled one out of the oven a little bit early so it was kind of doughy, according to Makayla. Kelli heard the word doughy and apparently likes it because now she says everything is doughy-her apple, her bed, the road, etc. Somewhere Makayla picked up the phrase "you're ruining my life." Nice, huh. Yesterday she was laying on her bed reading and Kelli kept coming in and asking her questions and interrupting her. After about the 20th time Makayla said "Mom, Kelli's ruining my life." Kelli quickly said "Uhh-uhh mom. I not ruin Kayla's life. She just ruin herself life because she doesn't want to play with me right now!" Anyway, I'm sure these things are always much funnier when said by your own kids, but since this blog is actually a family journal for us, thought I would share some of our laughs lately.
