T-ball

Makayla decided she wanted to play t-ball again this year and it is so much better than last year. There are fewer people on her team and they all take turns playing all the different positions so the girls actually get to touch the ball on defense. Last year the same people always played 1st base and pitcher, basically the only place the ball ever went. All the other girls danced, looked for airplanes, chased butterflies, pulled grass, etc. Anyway, this year it is much better! Makayla's favorite places to play are 1st, 2nd, and pitcher. She is getting pretty good at throwing the ball. She hasn't had a lot of opportunities to catch the ball in games because it usually stops before it gets to her and she just has to pick it up off the ground. Our little lefty is also getting to be a good hitter. She is really fast when she runs around the bases. Her games are always while Jacob is at work so he hasn't been able to come to very many, but Kelli, Laney, and I sure have enjoyed cheering Makayla on. However, I think it's pretty sad that her games have all been in June and for most of them we've had to wear our jackets because it was so cold! That's so wrong! Only one more game and then Makayla will be done with sports until Soccer starts in the fall.
