Spelling fun

For quite a while now, Makayla has entertained us by writing notes for us and leaving them all over the house. They range from simple things like "Mom is fun" to "I am a child of God" to "Pupies for sel" or "I like to see my mom and dad hug and kis" (I guess she hasn't gotten to the grossed out by kissing stage yet). Makayla is very good at spelling. Most of the time she can just sound things out. If there is a word that she uses a lot and misspells, we usually just have to tell her how to spell it once and she always remembers it. For example, she often wrote "I no you love me and you no I love you." We just explained the difference between no and know and she does it right! Lately, I've noticed a new talent she has developed- unscrambling words. I have some blocks that are supposed to spell the word family. Each time I walk past them Makayla has rearranged them. I was surprised she came up with these by herself.
