More dates

In February Jacob and Makayla got to go on a Daddy Daughter Date for our ward. In March they had one for the school. I think its really neat, but every year the school sponsors a Daddy-daughter daddy date, Mother-daughter date, Mother-son date, and Father-son campout. The kids all look forward to it so much.
For the daddy daughter date this year they had a cowboy theme with a dance. Makayla had so much fun helping Jacob choose clothes to wear. It may come as a shock to you, but Jacob doesn't have any cowboy clothes at all. He does have one pair of Levi's, but they are most definitely not wranglers. That's why he had to raid the closets of his mom (not her real closet, just her costume closet) and his brother in law. Makayla was pleased with the results. The only cowgirlish clothes she has are a hat and some boots. A cousin recently gave her this poncho, which to me is more spanish than cowgirlish, but whatever. She was so excited to wear it and had another wonderful night.
Kelli and Laney were disappointed that they couldn't go out with Dad, so they asked me out on a date. We painted our nails while we watched cartoons, then went out to eat dinner at the "Ever Cafe" (which is really the Evergreen Cafe but is apparently too hard to remember). Afterwards the girls wanted to go home and play games. It was a great night for everyone!
