Camping Rocks!

We love going camping, almost as much as we love going to the beach.  There is a  great camping spot only a few miles from our house.  You have to do some off-roading to get there so it usually isn't very crowded.  They have bathrooms (no running water) and lots of great places to play.  At the first part of July we went camping with some of our cousins, Cory and Erin Lafever, and their girls, Reagan, Rowan, and Riley.  Some of their friends came with us and we all had a blast!

The girls had lots of other kids to play with.  I don't think they hardly ever sat down while we were there.  They were busy playing all kinds of games from flashlight tag to house to red light, green light, etc.  The kids talked us all into playing kick the can.  I don't even know how many years it has been since I played that game, but I forgot how fun it was.  I think we ended up playing for an hour and a half.  Cory brought the two most popular entertainment sites.  He stretched a come along between two trees to form a tightrope.  I think there was always someone trying to walk across it (and it wasn't just the kids!).   The other thing he did was set up a huge zip line between the trees.  If only the men didn't have to run so much to get the kids going from one end, then stopping them at the other and taking them back up to the top, the kids would have done that non stop too!

We brought Shadow with us and he was in Doggie Heaven.  The kids had him playing with them in almost every game.  When they weren't playing something with him, they were having him follow them around.

The adults had fun talking and playing games.  We had a fun and relaxing time and wish we could go more often!
