Kelli's teacher was Mrs. Johnston. She has been teaching for many years and is like the ideal kindergarten teacher. She is excited and fun and makes learning fun. Although Kelli got along well with pretty much everyone in her class, she spent all her time with Kayla. Kindergarten was super easy for Kelli and she did a fantastic job. Her graduation was held outside at the school. It ended up being a crazy windy morning, so the kids all had to hold their hats on!
Laney attended Preschool at Wrightwood Elementary and absolutely loved it. She was really sad before school started because she thought she wouldn't get to go to school. Her class started the same time as the other girls, but ended about half an hour sooner than kindergarten, so she was actually gone quite a bit. She had three different teachers: Ms. Melinda, Ms. Teresa, and Ms. Kim. Laney didn't really learn much academically in there (she already knew most of what they taught), but they also did a lot of art projects and it was fun for her to get to be around other kids. She learned how to follow a schedule and listen to instructions. It was a great program and we are glad she was able to participate in it!
