When I hear the phrase "Summer Games," the first thing I think of is Summer.  Because it would make sense that summer games would take place in the summer.  Unless, of course, we're talking about water polo.  Nothing about water polo is normal.  The Utah Summer Games for water polo was held this past week...in April.  I don't know why it wasn't in the summer, but it was loads of fun to watch.  Makayla's team played against some really tough teams from all over the state.

The games were tough and really intense.  However, at the end of the games, guess who brought home the gold medal!!!!

That's right!  First place baby!  I'm so glad Makayla decided to try out this new sport.  She has learned so many things and become a much stronger swimmer.  She has made some great friends and really enjoys what she is doing.  We really hope she stays with it!
